This funding goes towards the establishment of a new multi-user microsurgery and functional phenotyping facility that integrates rodent surgery with ultrasound and MRI phenotyping and also is widely available to CRE groups and researchers at the University of Oxford. The facility provides microsurgery (mini-pumps implantation, TAC, AB, MI, I/R) as well as routine phenotyping by ultrasound imaging next to higher-end MRI phenotyping. Users have access to cardiovascular models of disease and functional phenotyping in a shared and maintained facility that allows those without specific knowledge of those models/technologies to utilise them.
