This pump-priming award allowed the development of pilot data to secure external funding from the BHF (2 grants) and the NIHR BRC. In addition, it allowed us to perform the first feasibility studies that led to the development of the Academic Cardiovascular CT program, which evolved into a wider service supporting cardiovascular CT research in Oxford, undertaking studies across the University and the Trust, sponsored by a wide range of charitable and industrial funders.
