Irina-Elena Lupu
Postdoctoral Research Scientist
Following completion of my BSc degree in Genetics at the University of Manchester, I joined the group of Dr. Nicola Smart as a BHF 4-year DPhil student researching epicardial cell fate choice and coronary vessel formation during embryonic development. In 2020 I completed my DPhil research and joined the Stone group. My postdoctoral work is focused on understanding vascular development, especially distinct origins of endothelial cells and the resulting functional heterogeneity.
