Pentra C400
PENTRA C400 is a chemistry analyser that performs diagnostic tests on whole blood, serum, plasma and urine samples using spectrophotometry and potentiometry. We have used the PENTRA to analyse iron, ferritin and transferrin levels in serum samples from humans as well as mice, giving us an overall body iron status. Measurement of other proteins are also available.
Samples are typically diluted 1 in 25 and require a volume of 200 µl. The system allows loading of 60 test samples at one time with each specific protein test requiring calibrators and controls
