Flow Cytometry Facility at WHG
The FCF WHG is a class 2 Flow Cytometry Facility. It consists of three instruments:
- BD LSRFortessa X20 Analyzer : Equipped with five lasers (355nm, 405nm, 488nm, 561nm, 640nm) it allows complex phenotyping experiments using up to 18 parameters.
- Sony SH800z Cell Sorter: Equipped with 4 co-linear lasers (405nm, 448nm, 561nm, 638nm) it allows detection of up to 6 parameters.
- BD FACSAriaTM Fusion Cell Sorter : Equipped with five lasers (355nm, 405nm, 488nm, 561nm, 640nm) it allows sorting experiments using up to 18 parameters.
The WHG-FACS facility, led by Dr. Ruddy Montandon, provides cell sorting and flow cytometry services with a charge. We can assist with design, test, analyse comprehensive cardiac cell / immune cell phenotyping.
The image (see right) is of a BD FACSAria Fusion Cell Sorter, which is equipped with five lasers (355nm, 405 nm, 488nm, 561nm, 640nm) and allows sorting experiments on both human and mouse samples using up to 18 colours.
