Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) are at high risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). Some of this excess is likely due to increases in blood pressure (BP) caused by CKD, so strategies to monitor and treat BP are required. Telemonitoring may allow home BP to be monitored without requiring multiple trips to hospitals either as part of routine care or trials testing BP-lowering strategies. This pilot study assessed the acceptability of such technology among a group of patients with CKD.
