As part of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Heart Heroes Awards, the CureHeart project has been shortlisted for the BHF Media Award 2023 – Research Story of the Year.

The CureHeart project was winner of the BHF's Big Beat Challenge, and is headed up by Oxford BHF CRE Director, Professor Hugh Watkins.

CureHeart’s team of international researchers aim to correct disease-causing DNA mistakes in heart muscle cells, using advanced gene-editing tools to offer the first cure for these deadly conditions.
