Dr Qiang Zhang, former BHF Oxford CRE Transition Fellow, has been appointed as Associate Professor of AI in Cardiovascular Imaging by RDM and the Big Data Institute. Many Congratulations to Qiang!

In this role, Dr Zhang will lead a programme in machine learning for cardiovascular MRI in RDM's Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. He will further support wider cardiovascular research, in particular enriching cardiovascular imaging and studies using machine learning at population scale, both in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and in the Big Data Institute.

Dr Zhang's research programme was made possible by crucial support from the British Heart Foundation, including an Oxford BHF CRE Transition Fellowship, and the recent BHF Intermediate Basic Science Research Fellowship.
