Huaidong Du is an associate professor working on the China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) study whose researches focuses on diet, physical activity, adiposity, diabetes, eye diseases etc. Since 2013, she has been involved in coordinating the second and third resurveys of the CKB, each involving 25,000 participants from 10 study areas in China.
Huaidong obtained her MD degree in 1994 and had been working as an ophthalmologist for eight years in China. In 2009, she finished her MSc and PhD in Nutritional Epidemiology from the Netherlands and joined the Clinical Trial Service Unit & Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) afterwards.
