Professor Tzima, part of the Oxford BHF CRE's Senior Leadership Team, has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Biochemical Society GlaxoSmithKline award

Given every two years, the award recognises research leading to new advances in medical science, and is intended to recognize meritorious research by mid-career biochemists in the field of biochemistry related to medicine. The award recipient also gives an award lecure at a Biochemistry Society meeting.

Professor Tzima will receive her award in 2024. On winning the award, she said "I am humbled and honoured to receive this award. It is a testament to the wonderful people who have been part of my journey and the stimulating collaborations and incredible support I have had from mentors, family and friends over the years."
